MainStreet Oceanside is partnering with Green Oceanside in celebration of Earth Month. The City of Oceanside and Mayor Esther Sanchez are challenging the community to take action for the planet this April and help Oceanside win the 2021 Mayor’s Challenge for Sustainability. This national competition, hosted by the Wyland Foundation, encourages mayors across the country to promote sustainable action amongst residents and communities. CITY OF OCEANSIDE MAYOR'S CHALLENGE FOR SUSTAINABILITY

This Earth Month, Mayor Sanchez is challenging the Oceanside community to take action for the planet and be MORE sustainable in two steps:

Step 1: Take the Pledge! From April 1-30 residents can first earn the City of Oceanside points by taking the pledge to be more sustainable at mywaterpledge.com — it only takes 60 seconds! When you pledge, you’ll also be eligible to win exciting prizes, including a daily raffle where you could win money towards your utility bill!

Step 2: Take Action! You can also earn the City points by completing sustainable activities in your home and neighborhood. Visit wylandfoundation.ecochallenge.org for a list of easy-to-do projects that you can complete and log your actions to earn points!

The Green Oceanside team is here to help you take action and earn points in your community with their Green Oceanside “One Planet. Take Action.” kit!* Kits are available for free for Oceanside families and are offered in both English and Spanish.
*One kit per household, while supplies last.

HARVEST OCEANSIDE

Residents can mark their calendars for an Oceanside favorite! Residents can bring their excess fruit and backyard bounty to the El Corazon Senior Center to feed our community.
VIRTUAL CREEK TO BAY CLEANUP
