Staging Area Map

All group leaders will be provided with detailed staging instructions via eMail.
All group leaders will check in with the Street Marshal on their staging street EXCEPT A Division. A Division group leaders will check in at the 101 Cafe.

B, D, F and H Divisions enter staging streets from Ditmar Street - no access from Coast Highway.
-
C, E, G and J Divisions enter from Oceanside Boulevard only - no access from side streets.
All participants should review Parade Rules at the bottom of this page.
NO PARKING IN THE STAGING AREAS UNTIL THE ROADS HAVE BEEN CLOSED (approx. 8:00 A.M.), THE BARRICADES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED AND THE MARSHALLS (IN YELLOW VESTS) ARE ON SITE. IF YOU ARRIVE EARLY, PLEASE PARK OFF-SITE.
Load-In Instructions
Please take a moment to locate your name, space number and street section in the list below. Read through the load-in instructions to help make the process easier.

Each staging street is divided into parade entry locations marked with chalk. Staging streets include letters, "B, D, F, H."

On each block, entry locations position # begin at Coast Highway increase upward toward Ditmar.

Each parade entry has their own staging location marked by their entry number.

Each staging location will have a chalk mark at the beginning and end of your space.

Your entry line up number will be marked in the center of your location as you face Coast Hwy.- If your entry has a vehicle, park the vehicle on the forward line of your location and toward the correct curb.
There will be Street Marshals at your staging location to assist you in locating your position and answer any
questions that you may have. The Street Marshals are volunteers. Please treat them with courtesy.

RESTROOMS AND ASSISTANCE
Porta-potties are located near the intersection of Ditmar Street and Eucalyptus, on West Street near the church, Leonard Street near the church, and across from the 101 Café on Wisconsin. Your Street Marshal has a map. Please do not disturb the residents on your staging street. Please put all of your trash in the receptacles located on each staging street.
There will be Street Marshals at your staging location to assist you in locating your position and answer any questions that you may have. The Street Marshals are volunteers. Please treat them with courtesy.
Trash/ Recycle
The City of Oceanside is committed to ensuring waste diversion and recycling at all special events. Please review the attached map for trash/recycle container locations. It is important to ensure all members in your party not only use these containers but also choose the correct container for trash or recycling. If you have any questions, please contact the MainStreet office prior to the event or on parade day ask anyone in a yellow safety vest.
MPORTANT NOTES

All participants must check in by 9:30 AM.

Vehicles should park at the front of their assigned staging space.
-
Entries with multiple vehicles or car club participants must back into their assigned staging space and park diagonally to maximize available space and maintain proper staging alignment.

Vehicles may not re-enter the staging area once they leave.
-
Street Marshals in yellow vests will provide directions and assistance throughout the staging area.

PARTICIPANT PLACARDS
Each group will receive a parade entry number.
IMPORTANT: This is what announcers will be looking for to cue the announcement, including LIVE COVERAGE on KOCT television.
The placard must be placed on the RIGHT FRONT of the unit – first vehicle or first marcher or front banner.



Per the City of Oceanside and the San Diego County Sheriff Department, no throwing, distributing, tossing, or handing out items to the crowd along the parade route (including candy, pamphlets, flyers, and brochures) OR any activity that would entice spectators onto the parade route from the curbside. Failure to comply will result in the IMMEDIATE disqualification of your entry.
